Jun-27-2008 - Ron, Raven, and Pheasants Forever Television are back for the fourth season of the popular outdoor variety show. The show is slotted to air on Outdoor Channel on Thursdays at 10PM CDT / 11PM EDT, Fridays at 10AM CDT / 11AM EDT and again on Saturdays at 5:30PM CDT / 6:30PM EDT. Season four of Pheasants Forever Television will debut on Thursday, July 3rd at 10PM CDT / 11PM EDT. Season four of Pheasants Forever Television begins at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, an institution known for its agriculture and engineering programs...and its Pheasants Forever chapter – the first university Pheasants Forever chapter in the nation! ...more
First SAFE Contract in Nation to be Signed in South Dakota's Moody CountyJun-20-2008 - Pheasants Forever (PF), agencies, politicians and conservationists will celebrate the instant success of South Dakota’s State Acres For wildlife Enhancement (SAFE) program and witness the formal signing of the first SAFE contract in the country. SAFE represents an important change to the federal Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). As part of the continuous enrollment portion of CRP, South Dakota's SAFE practice specifically targets smaller critical portions of farms and is focused on pheasant production. Nearly 33,000 acres have been offered for enrollment in the state's program in just the last few months. ...more
Pheasants Forever’s Michigan Convention and Habitat Expo Set for June 21stMay-30-2008 - Pheasants Forever (PF) announces the 2008 Michigan State Convention and Habitat Expo taking place at the Livingston Conservation District Nature Center in Gregory. Being held on Saturday, June 21, the convention will be followed by the Michigan PF State Banquet and Awards Ceremony at the Brookshire Inn located in nearby Williamston. ...more
Coming Soon to Outdoor Channel: Pheasants Forever TelevisionMay-19-2008 - Pheasants Forever (PF) announces the stars of Pheasants Forever Television – pheasants, quail, bird dogs, and wildlife habitat conservationists – will return for a fourth season of the popular outdoor show, coming to Outdoor Channel in 2008. The official season schedule of times will be released at a later date. "At Pheasants Forever, we're passionate about conservation and our outdoor heritage, so we're extremely excited to be part of the Outdoor Channel community that shares those values," said Howard Vincent, President and CEO of Pheasants Forever, Inc. and Quail Forever, "Viewers across the country can expect another hit season full of flushing birds, helpful dog training, shooting and habitat tips, and plenty of those interesting characters that make being outdoors an adventure." ...more
FAN Outdoors Adds Pheasants Forever's St.Pierre to TeamMay-19-2008 - Pheasants Forever (PF) announces Bob St.Pierre, the organization's Director of Marketing and Public Relations, is joining the FAN Outdoors Radio team, where he will serve as a fill-in host and co-host. FAN Outdoors can be heard Thursdays from 7-9p.m. and Saturdays from 6-8a.m. on KFAN AM-1130 in the Twin Cities metro. From pheasants to fish, duck blinds to bass boats, cabins to campgrounds, FAN Outdoors has been covering what's happening in the outdoors for 14 years. St.Pierre joins the FAN Outdoors team that includes "The Captain" Billy Hildebrand, Outdoor News editor Rob Drieslein, and Minnesota DNR’s Mike Kurre.
